In recent years, white interior doors have become very popular. They are suited to both a contemporary style room and also a traditional style. They are bright and easily cleaned and maintained. They can of course be painted in any colour but white is the most popular choice.

A wood grain effect door, which when painted still shows the wood grain texture, is the most popular finish. Although a smooth finish is also available, this door does not look as elegant and the smooth finish shows up any bumps are marks more easily.

There are 3 main grades of a white interior doors – light weight hollow core, medium weight foam filled core or heavy weight solid wood door. The lighter the door the easier it is to hang.

Like all interior doors the sizes are quite standard but if a specific size is required this can also be arranged.

White interior doors come in a variety of styles, as a solid door or glazed. For a more traditional style room the door will often have 4 or 6 oblong panels running vertically in 2 rows, with the edges often tapered and fielded. When a glazed variety is selected usually 2 or 4 of the panels will be replaced with safety glass.

A contemporary style room is more likely to have either 4 equal panels running horizontally or 2 single panels running vertically. The edges of these panels are usually rounded but not tapered. Again, some or all of the panels may be replaced with glass.

The choice of handles on the interior door will add the finishing touch, enhancing the over all traditional or contemporary style.
